Hey retreat leaders- today I want to have a real talk with you. Not about registration systems or social media hacks (though I love that stuff, too), but about you. Who you are right now—and who you’re becoming.

Because let me be real: building profitable retreats isn’t just about fancy sales funnels or goodie bags with custom tags. It starts way before any of that. It starts with YOU.

Who Are You Becoming?

Do something for me: think about the version of you who already leads profitable retreats. The you who is running a thriving retreat business, making a difference, showing up confidently, and aligned in her energy and impact.

  • What does she look like?
  • What’s her energy?
  • How does she start her mornings?
  • What does she not tolerate anymore?
  • What boundaries does she have?
  • How does she respond to rejection? To late payments? To praise?

Now—here’s the key: you don’t become her by waiting. You become her by acting like her NOW.  You can close your eyes right now and imagine it. 

The Problem with “Someday” Thinking

I hear it all the time:

  • “Once I get more experience, I’ll start charging more.”
  • “Once I have more followers, I’ll pitch that podcast.”
  • “Once I host a few more retreats, I’ll raise my standards.

NO. Sis, no.

You don’t get to be her by waiting. You get to be her by stepping into the thoughts, behaviors, and habits she already lives by. Right now.

What Would She Do?

If you want profitable retreats, ask yourself daily:

  • What would the version of me with a waitlist do today?
  • What would the version of me with consistent 5-figure retreats NOT be doing anymore?
  • What would she invest in? Who would she ask for help? What boundaries would she set?
  • Would she still be undercharging out of fear?
  • Would she still be winging her marketing instead of having a strategy?
  • Would she be trying to do this whole thing alone?

Nah. She’d be in community. She’d be learning. She’d be walking the walk.

My Wake-Up Moment

You know, I’ve been in this retreat game for over a decade, and still—I level up by deciding who I want to be. On a recent trip to France (where I got to teach and connect with other incredible retreat pros), I realized again how powerful it is to surround yourself with those who are doing big things.

The people in that room? They weren’t waiting to “feel ready.” They were being the person they wanted to become. Already. That’s why they lead with power. That’s why their retreats are profitable, sustainable, and deeply impactful.

What This Means for You

Identify your future self.
Write it down. Get specific. How does she feel about money? How does she lead? What does her schedule look like?

Audit your current habits.
What needs to go? What needs to be added in? What boundaries need to be strengthened?

Align your actions.
Start acting like the leader you’re becoming. Speak it. Charge like it. Lead like it. Invest like it.
